The basis of the mechanism of action of the low-intensity lasers on tissues within the visible and infrared areas are the processes occurring at the cellular and molecular levels.
Low-intensity laser radiation stimulates metabolic activity of cells, activates production of the universal energy source, i.e. ATP (adenosine triphosphate). The result is a stimulatory effect on important functions of cells and tissues and vital processes and regeneration (restoration).
Low intensity laser therapy is applied in trichology in the following cases:
- androgenetic alopecia (male and female);
- diffuse hair loss;
- a rehabilitation period after hair transplantation.
Laser therapy can be carried out as an independent method and in combination with medication treatment.
